Street Safety Training
Unique Outdoor Training to bring out the best in your dog.
Do you want a dog that listens no matter where you are? A well mannered buddy you can take anywhere? An awesome family pet you can relax and have fun with? An amazing bond and long lasting success with your dog?
- Training outdoors in real situations. We expose you and your dog to many different sights, smells and distractions. You will learn how to handle your dog in many situations. You don’t walk your dog indoors, so why train there?
- Street Safety. Urban environments pose many risks to your dog. You will learn how to keep you and your dog safe with tips and exercises designed to increase your awareness and protect your family and your dog.
- Urban Agility. Have you noticed how many dogs are bored and act out because of it? Mental stimulation is so important for every dog, so you will learn how to use items you come across every day to make walks more fun for both you and your dog. You don’t need access to expensive agility equipment to have fun with your dog!
- Education. I will help you to understand your dog and see her differently. I will challenge what you may have heard or read about dogs in the past so you can get a better understanding. When you learn to understand what your dog is telling you and communicate with your dog in a way that he understands, the results will be amazing.
- Doggie manners and tips. You can take a well mannered dog anywhere. So you will learn to teach your doggie etiquette. Plus we cover more than just simple commands and include tips for feeding, grooming, socialization, crate training, stopping unwanted behaviours - and any specific topics you want to cover.
No levels or age specific classes. Dogs communicate with each other and learn from each other. A well educated dog can teach other dogs more effectively than we can! All ages, sizes and breeds are in one class so they can learn from each other. Plus, with 16 classes, we cover more information than in 3+ levels of many other classes.
- Individualized attention. Every dog is different and has different issues, so there is no one size fits all solution. You will receive individual attention and homework based on the needs of you and your dog.
- All you need is a martingale collar, 6’ leash and a great attitude! This is not a treat training class, and no treats are allowed. No harsh correction collars (such as choke, prong, e-collars) or haltis (gentle leaders) are permitted. No flexi-leashes can be used. I sell Brad Pattison’s line of Hustle Up collars and leashes and always have them available prior and during class.
- Everyone is welcome. Bring the whole family! Kids are amazing with dogs, and we can learn a thing or two from them!
- You and your dog will have FUN!
